ABSTRACT
Introduction; The professional professor constantly demand new knowledge. This makes the academic has to be in constant need of academic preparation. As various stressful situations during the workday; noisy environments, excessive student group, student indiscipline, excessive loads of hours in front of a group, and so on. The objective was to determine the burnout syndrome in academics women’s.
Material and methods; interviewed 62 university professor. variables: age, sex, education, marital status, appointment, labor antiquity, work shift, physical health, assessment of health status, relationship between health and work activity, Body Mass Index. The analysis used chi square value of P ‹0.05
Results: 42% female, age 29-67 years, average 45, women were younger (29.3%), differences in academic Female Doctors with a relation of 3.5, the 51.62% sufferers overweight and obesity. high dimension of depersonalization is presented in 3 women to 2 men
Conclusions; university professor woman’s, have a higher academic studies and graduate teaching and research in higher risk of burnout syndrome.
