ABSTRACT
Angioleiomyomas are rare benign tumors of the hand. They have higher incidence from
the fourth decade of life, with equal gender distribution. A correct preoperative
diagnosis is rarely made, because they are usually mistaken for ganglions and
lypomas, among others. Eleven clinical cases treated at “Santa Bárbara de Zulia”
Comprehensive Diagnosis Center in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela during a
triennium are described. After the simple excision, outcome was favorable and there
were not relapses.
