ABSTRACT
Actinomycosis is a granulomatous and chronic suppurative infectious disease caused by
Actinomyces israelii. The clinical manifestations are very diverse,
simulating different pathologies, even some of bad nature. It is a not very common illness for what the diagnosis is not easy to give.
A 60 year-old patient is presented with antecedents of laryngeal carcinoma that 14 years ago received radiotherapy. He goes to consultation with
breathing problems requiring urgent tracheotomy, an image of tumoral aspect is verified and bilateral paralysis of the vocal chords.
We take biopsy that informs laryngeal actinomycosis. The treatment and evolution is exposed.
