ABSTRACT
Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) is a sexually transmitted infection caused by serotypes L1, L2 and L3 of
Chlamydia trachomatis. It is rare in industrialized countries and endemic in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Most cases are caused by L2. LGV is reported in children for more than sixty years. In men, there are inguinal and femoral inguinal ligament about creating the «Groove’s sign», a finding considered pathognomonic of LGV.
Sex with donkey is a common practice of sexual initiation in children and adolescents in Latin America. The medical literature reports a case of LGV in men who had sex with donkey in developed countries. This is the report of a case of LGV in a teenager who had sex with donkey in rural province of Colombia.
