ABSTRACT
It is a brief account of the epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic and treatment of the most common infectious diseases seen in
a pediatric emergency department at the General Hospital of the Colombian Caribbean coast (Hospital San Jerónimo, Monteria),
with the purpose of guiding those who work in that area. We aimed to cite the literature and the ant biotic treatments
chosen were consistent with the real options in our National Health System.
