ABSTRACT
Upon presentation of a case of bacterial meningitis, the clinical laboratory often use diverse diagnostic methods, from a complete blood count, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, blood culture, and - what is essential- Cerebrospinal Fluid analysis through which identifies the presence or infection status according to data obtained from a CSF cytochemical and most important of all, the CSF culture. The analytical characteristics of CSF, and all additional studies will guide us towards a probable etiology diagnosis.REFERENCES
