ABSTRACT

The education provided to patients with cardiovascular disease aims to benefit them through prevention and health promotion. One of the skills that the health educator must possess and develop is communication, for the importance it has in the person-person relationship, as it is essential to know the other and convince him of the commitment to the conservation and promotion of health. It is important that educators develop some skills related to listening, availability, friendliness, instilling trust and the recognition of the patient’s cultural background.
