ABSTRACT
Arthrography is a diagnostic test which enables us to delineate the non-ossified anatomical structures of the hip joint accurately, showing the presence of obstruction at reduction by soft tissues and better containment position of the femoral head during closed reduction. Also enable us for the dynamic test showing stability once the hip joint has been reduced. The indications for hip arthrography have been diminishing for early detection campaigns and the use of ultrasound in suspected cases. So the indication for arthrography of the hip joint is in cases of failure of the initial treatment and the presence of instability of the joint. By its invasive nature is usually performed under sedation and prior to a surgery procedure. Kotnis et al, demonstrated the frequency with which the arthrography intervened to change the established treatment plan. Various techniques are described for carrying out the procedure, using various approaches, of which an anterior approach may be the most direct and has less risk of damage to important adjacent structures. The image intensifier assistance improves the success of the study close to 100% while performing the procedure without the assistance of image intensifier fails in up to 30% of cases.REFERENCES
