Toxic shock syndrome caused by Streptococcus pyogenes serotype M12 in a patient with chickenpox impetiginized. A case report

ABSTRACT
We report the case of a female patient four years old, previously healthy with no history of importance. After his brother had an episode of active varicella, the patient had an episode of chickenpox, 10 days before admission to hospital. She arrived with swelling and erythema in the anterior and posterior right hemithorax, fever of 39° C and changes in alertness. He had erythema and edema in the cervical region and in the right chest, with vesicular lesions and scabs scattered Impetiginized. Blood culture and culture of the discharge of the gallbladder was isolated Streptococcus pyogenes serotype M12. The outcome was appropriate and was discharged from hospital after 30 days of stay.REFERENCES
