ABSTRACT
With the frequent use of endovenous illicit drugs, thrombosis occurs making the use of this route impossible.
Drug addicts look for other places and soon localize accessible arteries for their use. We present
the case of a man that after injecting drugs into his common carotid artery developed an infected pseudoaneurysm
that ruptured and required emergency ligation. Although there were not cerebral sequelae
he had severe local problems.
