ABSTRACT

Objective: To present a patients review with immunologic limb ulcer diagnosis.
Material and methods: From May 2005 to May 2008 we studied in a retrospective method 15 patients treated into a private hospital including all with immunologic limb ulcers, all ages, both sex, and diagnosed with clinic and lab test.
Results: We found three men and 12 women with an average age of 58 years and immunologic limb ulcers; the principal immunologic disease was rheumatoid arthritis; the wound healing success was 87%, 33% had reulceration and 13% of the patients had not healed.
Conclusions: The immunological ulcers are complex entities that have an acceptable rate of healing, but a senior recurrence, they seem to respond adequately to steroids and disease modifying drugs, some patients may need surgical procedures to improve blood flow or eradicate the infection.
