ABSTRACT
We present three clinical cases of patients that presented arterial insufficiency with a complica
ted evolution due to exposition of graft in the inguinal wound. In every case a fever protocol was
applied to find out the cause of fever, and to reject the possibility of infection in the graft. On the first
clinical case, the preservation of the graft was achieved by means of medication (antibiotics, wound
toilet, silver dressing). On the second case besides the medical treatment described previously, a par
tial flap was rotated over the groin with positive results to encourage the wound healing and keeping
the grafts functionality. The third case presented an infection on the branch of a forked graft in the
groin, the treatment was chirurgical with resection of the exposed and infected branch, in addition to
an extra anatomic graft from the to the armpit to the femoral artery, the result achieved, was favora
ble.
