ABSTRACT
The endovascular approaches play an integral role in the treatment of chronic infrarenal occlusive
atherosclerotic disease. It is more likely to peripheral angioplasty is useful if the injury is a relatively
short stenosis affects an artery located next to a large proximal arterial segment that has a good distal
bed. The balloon angioplasty is safe and effective and lasting for treating some patients with stenosis
in the iliac arteria. The frequency of success of the ATP in external iliac was 95% to one year
and four years of 48%. We report the case of a patient of 59 years with stenosis and external iliac femoropopliteal
disease of left leg, which intervened with a combined procedure (endovascular more
open): angioplasty with stent for external iliac and femoropopliteal derivation with graft saphenous
vein.
