ABSTRACT
A 38 years old female show as attacked by a domestic deer, sustained a severe injury of the popliteal
artery and vein due to penetration of the deer horn. The patient was in a rural remote location and
we analyze the initial treatment at the local health facilities and the final successful management by
a general and a vascular surgeon at a specialized private clinic.
