ABSTRACT
Leiomyosarcoma of the vena cava are rare tumor of mesenchymal origin of smooth muscle cells. They are asymptomatic until
reach a large mass and usually invade adjacent structures. Surgical resection is the treatment modality, requiring resection of the
vein with the structures involved and placement of a vascular graft politetraetileno (PTFE) or Dacron.
