ABSTRACT
Endoscopic surgery has evolved in recent years from an experimental procedure to be the gold standard in some of the most
common surgical procedures performed today. Given the characteristics of endoscopic surgery that allows to all the staff view the
surgical procedure, it is possible to standardize the surgical steps of the procedure within certain limits of the condition to be
treated. At present, there is not universally recommended model for the evaluation of endoscopic surgery. The ideal evaluation
system should pursue the following principles: easy to use, easy to interpret, to be exact, to be valid, and to be reliable. The aim
of this review is to show the different evaluation systems for laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and its basic features for standardization of
laparoscopic surgery. The focus is centered to learn an auto-evaluation laparoscopic procedures form of proper performance,
and maintain the quality and safety offered to patients who undergo a surgical procedure like this.
