ABSTRACT

Breast metaplastic carcinoma is an entity of low frequency, and it involves a heterogeneous group of variants depending of the histologycal type. In several studies, mammographic and sonographic findings have not demonstrated to be specific. High density lesions in mammography, and microlobulated hypoechoic mass seem by ultrasound, have predominance in the reported cases. In this report, we describe the findings observated through this image methods in two patients that were diagnosticated with breast metaplastic carcinoma in Hospital Juarez de Mexico during 2007.
