Hemorroidectomía y otras alternativas quirúrgicas en el tratamiento de la enfermedad hemorroidal

ABSTRACT

Hemorrhoidal disease has a high prevalence; surgery treatment is suggested in III and IV degree of internal hemorrhoids, symptomatic mixed hemorrhoidal disease and patients with big hemorrhoids associated to another ano-rectal disease which requires surgical management too. The aim of the surgical treatment is to remove the damaged internal and external hemorrhoidal tissue as well as redundant rectal mucosa, preserving anal sphincter functioning, with adequate wound healing, keeping normal bowel movements.
