ABSTRACT
The ovarian hyperstimulation is an iatrogenic complication that is intimately tied up to the assisted reproduction therapies, without distinguishing among the different existence programs (heterologus and homologus inseminations, in vitro fertilization); this implies a series of changes at the hemodynamic level, with all the complications that this represents. The physical changes that are revealed are the ovarian diameter with asymptomatic manifestations in the light cases, and in the serious forms with an important blood imbalance with ascites, hydrothorax, arterial hypotension, tachycardia, haemoconcentration, oliguria, sodium retention, hyponatremia, increase of the renal plasmatic activity, hepatic malfunction and, in some extreme cases, renal inadequacy and thrombosis accidents. These changes make the doctor be in a delicate situation where the prevention would be the best weapon that they have.
