ABSTRACT
The concept of limits of viability is not clearly defined and varies
according to the institution, state and country of origin. Revive and
bring to an intensive treatment to premature immature has led to an
increase in the mortality rate and aftermath that ranging from mild
to severe. Currently apply the ethical principles for autonomy, charity,
not harmfulness and justice, with the aim of taking the best
decisions around the newborn. It is that have been created clinical
guidelines proposed in a basis for the gestational age, scientific
evidence and opinion of the parents or guardians. The premature to
the limit of the feasibility pose major challenges to the medicine,
society and ethics, which should take decisions shared between the
health team and with the parents or institutions representing the
best interests of the newborn.
