ABSTRACT
One of the actions intended for the primary health care is the treatment of emergencies, including recurrent aphthous stomatitis, characterized by the occurrence of one or more painful ulcers with loss of epithelial continuity, and variable in shape, number and size. Its multifactorial nature has determined that several predisposing or trigger factors are considered related to the appearance of the disease. Multiple therapeutic conducts have been tested on this disease, many of which are aimed only at relieving symptoms and not toward eliminating the cause that produces it. This is why an algorithm for a comprehensive conduct in patients with recurrent aphthous stomatitis was devised. It will allow a more consistent treatment to ensure a comprehensive care of patients with this disease and proposes a transdisciplinary care of these patients.REFERENCES
