ABSTRACT

The standards for diagnosis and treatment used in the dental clinic of the Certificate program in Periodontology at the Dental School in the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara are presented. The generic periodontal surgical procedure named Crown Lengthening standards are based in a compilation and review of the dental literature under the following outline: Definition, Biological bases, Prosthetic and Periodontal considerations, Objectives, Indications, Contraindications and Case Presentation.
