ABSTRACT
Polytraumatized patients by high-energy accidents are becoming more frequent in the attention trauma centers, thus requiring for their attention a multidisciplinary training team in life support (ATLS), capable of performing maneuvers that lead to life-saving. Following the sequence of maneuvers to perform (A, B, C, D and E) resuscitation efforts. The main objective of this article is to show briefly how the trauma team should be formed, as well as actions that must do each of the members in the care patients. An emphasis on maneuvers to be performed from the initial attention, through the handling of complications that may arise.
