ABSTRACT
The care of the airway in perioperatorio of the surgical patient is a great responsibility of the Anesthesiologist,
the anatomical knowledge and physiological he is basic, in the preanesthetic visit will be made
an evaluation meticulous and directed to the respiratory tract looking for changes in the anatomical
structures of the patients, analysis of the data collected in the interrogation and physical exploration
they determine pertinent the preventive measures that must be mainly taken into account for the suitable
handling during the induction and intubation, the difficult airway requires a stopped evaluation
to establish guides, strategies and algorithms sequential for its handling, with it will help to prevent the
eventualities; the cares during the anesthetic-surgical procedure must stay narrow before any adverse
event, also will be continued in the postanesthetic one, all it takes a to us to establish the suitable control
and to lower the morbidity and mortality.
