ABSTRACT

Colon cancer is the most common cancer condition of the digestive tract and a major cause of death. In terms of incidence, colorectal cancer is the fourth in frequency in men and third in women. This cancer is the result of accumulation of genetic alterations that lead to the transformation of the normal glandular epithelial to adenocarcinoma.
