ABSTRACT
Colorectal cancer presents a high incidence and mortality. In spite of this, current developing screening programs are not enough to modify its behavior. Colonoscopy is the gold test for this neoplasia investigation and diagnostic and its premalignant lesions, since it gives the possibility of the colon total exploration: However, its high cost and readiness hold detractors concerning its use as a primary method of screening. this issue was reviewed on the usefulness of colonoscopy as a screening tool to reduce morbidity and mortality from colorectal cancer.
