ABSTRACT
The microorganisms are the most frequent cause in periapical pathology; they constitute the biofilm that recovers the wall of the root conduits with dead pulp. To the dentistry consultation of Medical Surgical Research Center was remitted a patient with a radicular failed treatment in the 22, with more than 5 years of evolution, to which was treated by means of preparation biomechanics and irrigation with germicides, the sterility of the conduit was verified using the thioglicolato like microbiological mean of cultivation then. Two microorganisms were detected, in a first cultivation only the E coli, it was treated locally with a paste that contained powdered ciprofloxacin and it dilutes distilled sterile. When carrying out the second cultivation the Streptococous sp (alpha hemolytic) the which it was only treated with hypochlorite of sodium to 3%, achieving with this the sterility of the conduit in question allowing to seal the same one definitively with gutta-percha cones. It was remitted later on to the service of CMF, where was practiced an apicectomy moving away the periapical process. The radiographic pursuit was carried out to the three, six and twelve months of having carried out the surgery being verified bony repair.REFERENCES
