ABSTRACT

Melanoma is a malignant tumor derived from melanocytes, most originate in the skin but can also occur on mucous membranes, eyes, meninges and other organs. It is a highly aggressive tumor with a tendency to metastasize. This tumor can develop on previously healthy skin or over a nevus. The treatment of choice is surgical removal. The chances of survival depend on whether the diagnosis is made in the earliest stage possible. We present a patient with clinical and pathological diagnosis of malignant melanoma with lymphatic invasion, which underwent complete tumor exeresis.
