Proposal of texts for the professional orientation of the group of students of the medical sciences who are in the army

ABSTRACT
A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, from September 2011 to May 2012, to diagnose the knowledge about professional orientation and to propose some texts to achieve this purpose in the group of students of the medical sciences who are in the army. The universe comprises 31 students who are at the Army base 3698. Different methods were used, from the theoretical level: analytic-synthetic and induction –deduction and from the empirical level: analysis of documents to check the syllabus and methodological guidelines for cultural upgrading; a survey was applied to the students and the specialist´s criterion method was used to value the quality and pertinence of the proposal. The outcomes are related to the low level of knowledge of the students about their future work, which is not worked out through the subjects. Eight texts are proposed to achieve this goal through the special syllabus of the Spanish language, which are methodologically explained. They were valued as excellent with some suggestions that were taken into account in this proposal.REFERENCES
