Behavior of the Persistent Asthma in Children Treated with Immunotherapy

ABSTRACT
A quasi-experimental longitudinal research in 30 patients witch mild bronchial asthma between six and 17 years, attended at Allergy Service of Cesar Fornet Fruto University Polyclinic of Banes municipality was carried out. The objective of this study was to assess the clinical variations of a group of children who suffered from mild bronchial asthma and treated with vaccines.This research was performed from 2008 to 2010. The primary data were obtained from interview, physical exam and medical record. The variables age, sex, type of immunotherapy used in patients were studied, as well as, the signs and symptoms progress. The results showed a predominance of male sex between 14 and 17 years. Mainly acaros were the extracts of the vaccines used in most of cases. An improvement of symptoms of the disease in a considerable part of patients was observed.
