ABSTRACT
Background: The current evaluation system in medical sciences must answer to a teaching learning process which must incorporate theoretical fundamentals to sustain a developing evaluation. Objective: to describe the current situation in the evaluation system of the medical diagnosis in the 6th year of medicine. Methodology: A descriptive study from September 2011 to July 2012 at “Camilo Cienfuegos” University Hospital was carried out in Sancti Spíritus city. The population selected was 38 professors from the Department of Clinical Sciences, the sample was shaped by 15 professors of internal medicine of the 6th year of medicine. The methods employed were, scientific observation, surveys, documental analyses, and triangulation. Results: The majority of professors were located as low or very low in the stopover, the functional variablewere the integration of cognitive, procedimental and affective dimensions. It also prospered the cooevaluation and self evaluation. On observation of the practical final evaluation event of the subject were very low. In the documents analysis no orientations were bracketed for the realization of the evaluation process with developing approach. Conclusion: The current evaluation process in the subject internal medicine of the 6th year medicine has limitations in its planning end execution and makes it distant from a developing approach process.REFERENCES
