ABSTRACT
Talking to teens is no easy task as there are different approaches from which to address the issue, however, which is prevalent among adults, either parents or teachers is the view from a position conservatism, youth conceived as alien, strange, boring , unmotivated and disconnected from the real world. With feeling of emptiness and indeterminacy, for whom violence is an everyday practice. Obviously, do not respond to the ideal of young entrepreneurs. Often adults forget that their attitudes stem from the lack of opportunities. Ranked first in the age pyramid, there are sufficient jobs and only a third of young aspirants to study high school, get a place. A significant number of unwanted pregnancies, drug addiction, AIDS, suicide. This paper addresses the study of adolescents in modernity, from the characterization of postmodern society and how to face and survive the teens realize the contradictions that influence entrapment in depression, addresses the various types of depression, symptoms of the disease and different treatments available to combat it.
