ABSTRACT
Talking about the issue of values and transmitting them is a task rewarding and carries a great responsibility on the institutions of primary, secondary and higher education. This axiological training is one of the essential functions in the formation of young people taking their way to learn and acquire the tools of their profession, where domain knowledge and ethical values. The domain of values can largely adapt to the needs of society, particularly to business demands and criteria that each employee must meet to be hired. The present study describes a series of preliminary data aimed at knowing what those values that predominate in a population of Mexican university students are in their first year of undergraduate studies, how they conceive certain values and see if there is any correlation the expectations of their future life immediately. In addition, these studies proposes in his discussion of the retake and adapt psychological strategies that have been significant for its effectiveness in other populations and academic settings in terms of the acquisition of behavioral and cognitive skills applied in the decision making of students with respect to their own training and his life outside the classroom. It also recognizes the role of schools and other social institutions involved in the transmission and formation of social values.
