ABSTRACT
Morbidly obese patients (MOP) is one that accumulates excess body fat so great, that their health is adversely affected. Obesity has a number of predisposing factors. Medical and paramedical staff needs to know the peculiarities of MOP in the Emergency Department (ED) due to excessive size and body composition; this will improve pre-hospital and hospital care and also improve resource management. It is necessary that adequate facilities and equipement are available, and staff to meet the primary approach to serve the MOP, thus preventing their management becomes a challenge for all staff in the ED.
