Attachment and parental’s styles in women identified with anorexia

ABSTRACT
This work's objective was to analyze ties and parental's styles in women identified with anorexia. The participants were three women in age's range between 23 and 27 years old previously identified with anorexia illness by a specialist. Technique used was an in-depth interview based on over-protecting, care, affection and control categories. There were contacted with patients in a health hospital and asked for collaboration, became official with an affidavit signed by. Data process was developed under Taylor & Bogdan's method (1987) following three steps: discovering, codification and data relativization. In regard obtained searches, it is clear that analyzed women they have good communication with mothers, about fathers, they have not a good relationship, but a great disposition to please them. There's no a father leadership either physically and emotionally. Parents requirements perception's are spinning in two aspects: Body's appearance and intellectual issue brothers relationship is kindly, in all three cases there are father's infidelity. Father's style is different in any case. Finally we found that growing without a father's leadership strong and constant, could be an important factor in anorexia illness. In regard parental style, it's different in all analyzed cases, in which case there's no parental style to determinate anorexia.
