ABSTRACT
The readers of the Continuous Medical Education section will, this time, find summaries of articles about: 1: Oral hydration accepted and adopted unanimously in the second level centers of medical care and thereafter by the relatives as a therapeutic management guidelines in cases of diarrhea by dehydration which of course decreases importantly the complications and mortality, mainly in those children younger than two years old. 2: One article dealing with urinary relapsing infections due to genital-urinary malformations which give a high risk for a permanent renal damage if not an early diagnosis is established. 3: Another one, calling our attention upon the violence within the family as an increasing social problem; and in respect of rape we shall comment that in most of the cases “the enemy” is at home or caused by a relative. It is more and more often seen, cases perpetrated by the teachers and even by priests. The pediatrician should give the alert and support the parents and/or the children. 4: The one informing about cutaneous anthrax in a 7 months old nursling baby showed after the September 11 transgression in U.S.A. which gave us the idea of bioterrorism. 5: That one concerning persisting facial eczema in a nursling because of a careles history clinic non focused a complete interrogation which should have given the etiology of such a persistent eczema and also a paper presenting two cases of chicken pox, so we ought remember the importance of the disease and pitfalls of vaccine are commented. Unfortunately the later is not yet included in our vaccination program.
