ABSTRACT
Aimed at informing the unusual association of lepromatous leprosy and cutaneous furuncular miasis, we present the case of a patient treated at the Dermatology Service, with injuries of furuncular aspect in the left foot. Through clinical method and laboratory tests the association of these two rare diseases presenting ulcers was confirmed. The patient showed risk factors and most of primary and secondary deficiencies characteristic of leprosy. For superinfection, topical antibiotic treatment was prescribed and internally administered. It required the dismantling of the second and third knuckles, given the clinical and radiological findings. The case was diagnosed as lepromatous leprosy and cutaneous furuncular miasis. The evolution was satisfactory and the patient was discharged for medical treatment and follow up in the corresponding health area according to the national leprosy program.REFERENCES
