ABSTRACT
Without doubt, the hemophilia is a disease that causes a great impact on the people diagnosed as well as in the family and the social environment. It is a hemorrhagic illness, hereditary, monogenetic, recessive and sex-linked. This study describes and presents the psychometric characteristics of the instrument Quality of Life in Pediatric Patients with Hemophilia Mexico (QoLHMex). In the validation study participated 89 men with an average of 8.6 years of age (DS= 1.96); the 76.4% with hemophilia A, and the 23.6% hemophilia B. The 27% of subjects showed a mild severity, the 51.7% average and 21.3% severe. The results indicate that the QoLHMex has high internal consistency (α=0.95), a moderate-low correlation with the EuroQoL (r=0,238), and 11 of its 13 scales obtained an internal consistency than α=0.60. One of the main features of the instrument is the sensitivity to morbidity indicators.
