Identification of emotions from the model of Lazarus and Folkman: Proposal of stress questionnaire, emotion and coping (CEEA)

ABSTRACT
This work aims to propose an instrument for identifying coping, stress and emotions in adolescents from the model of Lazarus and Folkman, is called Stress Questionnaire, Emotion and Coping (CEEA). 80 teens participated voluntarily, were administered the Stress Questionnaire, Emotion and Coping (CEEA), it consists of 27 questions inquiring about positive and negative emotions experienced at two situations: stressful and enjoyable. The results show that a large percentage of teens have experienced a traumatic experience, which are classified into family, school, social relationships, grief and violence, the strategy employed refers to the focus on emotion. Regarding the pleasant events were categorized in school situations, video games, affections, sports, awards, social events and others, the strategies employed in these events are directed to the emotion. The emotions experienced are related to the type of event. The reliability of the instrument is high and identified three factors. Data are discussed in light of the transactional model.
