ABSTRACT
The summaries of the articles of this section are related to different items, all of them to the physicians taking care of children, because they are frequently consulted as for instance: the fever. It is included a paper concerning the physiopathology and the progresses achieved up to date. Two more chosen articles deal with cardiac blows. It is very important to stress that in any physical exam done to a child, regardless of the age and the cause of consultation the cardiac area exploration should no omitted because it is not rare the possibility to hear a cardiac blow. So it is also important to have the basic knowledge to differentiate between an “innocent” (physiological) blow from a pathological one because in such a case special studies should be done and the child sent to the pediatrician cardiologist. The two last articles talk about convulsive crisis due to epilepsia. The first one approaches the management of the generalized convulsive epileptic state (estado epiléptico convulsivo generalizado EECG) which is a neurological emergency of high morbimortality which call for quick and effective management in the services of pediatric emergencies. The last one of such articles drive us to think about the probability of recurrences of the convulsive crisis after treatment. Do they really exist associated factors to probability of recurrences of the epileptic crisis? It is most convenient to remember that sometimes is difficult to arrive to a etiological diagnostic and that each child or adolescent shows a different problematic environment concerning the treatment and the family.
