ABSTRACT
This literature review was carried out to encourage health personnel to the implementation of “Management of Quality” systems, getting familiar with some of the most important elements of the quality in health services. A review about the elements of quality and the importance to implement the “Management of Quality” systems was carried out in health units, highlighting the difficulties found in international studies regarding medical security and organization of medical services. The need of formulating the indicators to evaluate the processes in health services was considered.
