ABSTRACT
Vulvar inspection may become necessary, especially when symptoms are present. One of the harder changes to identify is vestibulodynia. The acetic acid test can show acid whitening in the normal areas of the vestibule, thus limiting the application of this method. Lugol’s Iodine Test using a 2% Schiller Solution can be a useful tool to reveal suspect vulvar-vaginal infections in cases of vestibulodynia.
