ABSTRACT
Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic disease that may affect the lung. Lung involvement may be subtle. The prevalence of interstitial lung disease in rheumatoid arthritis varies depending on the diagnostic methodology used for its detection. Clinical and serologic findings help to suspect, and search for, pulmonary involvement. Lung biopsy should be performed if there is disease progression despite appropriate treatment, to confirm the underlying pathology, and as an aid in therapeutic decisions.REFERENCES
