ABSTRACT
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common cancer in humans, especially in caucasians with an increased incidence in different parts of the world. The head is the most common location. Is a result of UV radiation in most cases. Every time you are presenting an increasing incidence in younger populations. The basal cell carcinoma presents different clinical types: Nodular, Pigmented, Superficial, Morfeaforme o Infiltrante o Sclerosing and Fibroepithelioma of Pinkus. It is usually characterized as a locally invasive carcinoma, agressive and destructive but slow growing, with very limited capacity to metastasize. Treatment consists of cirugical removal of the lesion, Mosh Micrographic Surgery, electrodesiccation and curettage. Can also be used cryosurgery and Imiquimod and sometime irradiation.
