ABSTRACT
Cutaneous sporotrichosis located on the face is less frequently seen than the lymphangitic form; which is the most common. We describe one facial lymphangitic form of sporotrichosis in a 21 year old man, who presented a positive sporotricin test and culture with
Sporothrix schenckii with a granulomatous reaction in the histopatologic examination. He was successfully treated with potassium iodide, which shows that potassium iodide is still useful in the treatment of non systemic sporotrichosis.
