ABSTRACT
This article recounts some historical aspects of Hodgkin’s disease, including the first description of the disease by Thomas Hodgkin, and the origin of one of the most recognized eponyms in the medical world. Also, the history behind the progress in diagnosis, staging and treatment are described, making an emphasis in the key points that allowed to reach the goal of cure in many cases.
