ABSTRACT
Focused assessed sonography on trauma (FAST) is a standardized ultrasound examination protocol performed by emergency care physicians and intensivists in the diagnostic evaluation of trauma victims. FAST can enable the prompt identification of hemoperitoneum and/or other post-traumatic injuries. We present a patient who was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) following a traffic road accident with hemobilia diagnosis by emergency ultrasound.
