Sporothricoid chromomycosis. A case report

ABSTRACT
Chromomycosis is a chronic subcutaneous infection; the causative organisms are the dematiaceous fungi. It is a disease predominantly in tropical and subtropical areas; male farm workers between 30 to 60 years are most affected. We report the case of male patient with diagnosis of sporothricoid chromycosis caused by
Fonsecaea pedrosoi and treated with itraconazole.
