Radial neck fractures in children treatated by closed intramedullary pinning

ABSTRACT

Fractures of the radial neck are not uncommon in children and there are various methods of treatment, although all are aimed at achieving anatomical reduction while providing the stability required for early movement. We present the case of a 7 year old boy who sustained a displaced fracture of the radial neck which was treated with a closed reduction and percutaneous intramedullary fixation which allowed movement at 2 weeks and had an excellent result.
