Radiographic evaluation of pelvic ring injuries

ABSTRACT

A careful radiographic assessment of pelvic ring injuries is essential in the diagnosis. The standard radiographic evaluation of the pelvis includes the anteroposterior view, the inlet and outlet views and axial computed tomography images. The anatomy of the pelvis and the different radiographic projections and their corresponding landmarks are discussed, as well as the anterior and posterior pelvic lesions with the description of the proper views and their uses.
